TCI’s Community Conversations program is a great way for Land Trusts to engage in proactive climate dialogue and partner with local schools, educators, town governments and people in your community!

The program consists of communication exercises, participatory mapping, and a climate change simulation. Each activity is designed to help people relate their personal places to the larger picture of climate change. Working together to go through this process, communities collaborate on determining what places are of most importance, and ways to effect change. We end in a brainstorming session on what actions are necessary to move forward toward climate mitigation, and if that’s not possible, adaptation practices and policies to be explored.

Engaging your community to fight climate change!

There’s no better time than now to get started. We are offering a $500 grant to the first 10 Land Trusts interested in holding a Community Conversation in their local area! To apply for the grant, visit this page and submit the form today.
